Arcade Bar Asks State: Can We Serve To-Go?

0

Quarters Arcade Bar in Salt Lake City, Utah, is pleading with Gov. Gary Herbert to reconsider the state’s alcoholic beverage laws to help struggling businesses by allowing them to serve to-go beer and cocktails as other states have done.

“This is a pro-business move that will help small business & preserve jobs,” Quarters wrote on Twitter. At the end of June, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control relaxed some rules, according to Fox 13, allowing businesses to serve alcoholic drinks on temporary patios.

But not all are able to do that. In any case, it will be an uphill battle for the business owners, as the Utah State Legislature would need to be involved to actually change the law – even temporarily.
