“AMOA-NY’s tribute to Phil Cohn is our way of showing respect to a dynamic executive at one of the leading global digital media and jukebox companies. He is highly regarded in the industry and is dedicated to the economic development concerns of operators,” said AMOA-NY President Ken Goldberg. “Phil’s strong work ethic, high sense of integrity, and commitment to the industry has made him an integral part of TouchTunes’ success.”
Cohn previewed the gala with a few comments on TouchTunes’ newest updates and equipment, “TouchTunes latest smart jukebox allows the interface to learn from the music most played in a location and adapts over time to highlight the songs, artists and search results that are most relevant. Our leading mobile app lets users find nearby jukebox locations and control their in-venue music experience from their smartphones. Since its launch, the app has been downloaded over 5 million times.” Cohn continued, “Also available on the jukebox is our integrated photo booth solution and the first fully licensed commercial karaoke system. We are proud of our strong relationships with our network of over 2,500 jukebox operators who install our equipment in local venues and take responsibility for maintenance, promotion, service and support.”
Cohn joins a lengthy list of well-known names who have also been honored by the AMOA-NY, including Rick Kirby, Kevin Fritz, Mike Maas, Eugene Jarvis and Allen Weisberg.
