Almost a year after the doors closed on a popular sports bar in a suburb of Boston, it has reopened as the newest location of Barrett’s Alehouse. The 23,000-sq.-ft. facility got a full makeover to make it ready for reopening, including smashing down some walls to make way for a 4,500-sq. ft. game room. The room is outfitted with Embed card readers, and was filled to the brim with machines by Player One Amusement Group. Guests will get the chance to play the latest arcade and redemption games, including The Walking Dead, Space Invaders Frenzy, The World’s Largest Pac-Man and more.
“It’s been an amazing couple of months to see through the building process, finalizing the Game Room, and seeing it all come together,” said Dave Barry, Managing Partner at Barrett’s Alehouse West Bridgewater. “From the moment you step through the door, our guests can expect a modern, state-of-the-art experience. The Game Room adds an extra element of fun, making it a great destination for families stopping by to grab a bite, or hosting birthday parties in our private function rooms for 10 kids or 200!”
The alehouse teamed up with P1AG to design and develop the space and redemption counter for the Game Room. This is the second and largest location where the two businesses have partnered together to create an entertainment experience for patrons. The first Game Room which opened back in 2014, is situated in their Fall River site and continues to be a popular destination for locals.
“It’s an exceptional site,” said Joe Ingui, VP of eastern U.S. operations at P1AG. “We were eager for the opportunity to revisit this location, and thrilled to be able to partner with Mike Barrett, Dave Barry and his management team on this project. It’s been exciting to see all the hard work and efforts that our teams have put in together to give the space new life.”
