Brickyard Lanes of La Grande, Oregon, is now open as of Sept. 18 – the first time in years that a bowling alley has been in the city.
It took seven years to transform their well-worn historic building into an FEC, reports Yahoo News. “It’s been challenge after challenge, but it’s going to all be worthwhile,” said co-owner Michelle Kiesecker.
The 14,000-sq.-ft. building was constructed in 1908 and has been a hotel, farm equipment store and more. Avid bowler Darrin Kiesecker bought the building with his dad for $80,000 in 2013. Years of repair work later, it’s Brickyard Lanes.
The bowling alley has 12 lanes, plus an arcade area and food and beverage. Learn more at www.brickyardlanes.com.
