Florence and Chuck Milhem.
The many friends of Valley’s former president Chuck Milhem will be sad to learn that his wife Florence passed away June 30 at the age of 91, ending her long and heroic battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She died peacefully at the Baylor Hospital nearby their home in McKinney, Texas, with Chuck and other family members present.
Back before her memory ailment limited her activities, Florence was quite the stylishly theatrical lady, known as a great storyteller. Her sense of humor was famous among family and friends. There are still a number of Valley distributors and operators, as well as Valley League (VNEA) veterans, who remember her fondly. May God bless her and the family.
