For the first time ever, players and fans can step inside the Halo universe in person, battling in a full-motion, free-roaming virtual reality experience at weekend-long events this summer.
Dubbed Halo: Outpost Discovery, the experience was developed by VRstudios. The experience’s “Training Grounds” enable players to “participate in competitive player vs. player combat exercises within simulated environments from the United Nations Space Command’s vast archive.” Guests will play as Spartan drones as three-person teams.
Their first weekend was July 5-7 in Orlando. Upcoming dates include July 19-21 in Philadelphia, Aug. 2-4 in Chicago, Aug. 16-18 in Houston and Aug. 30-Sept. 1 in Anaheim. More information is available at www.halooutpostdiscovery.com.
