The New Jersey Amusement Assn. lost a member this week: Barbara Florimont. She was a woman of many talents, wrote the association, and was most proud of the fact that at the age of 50, she began attending Georgian Court College and graduated with honors quickly after. She gave her money and time tirelessly to many local organizations, working at Providence House for over 15 years. She was a constant and committed advocate for women and the disenfranchised, and will be a sorely missed voice of intelligent reason within the community.
A memorial service was being held today (Friday, May 13) at 3 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Lavallette followed by a celebration of her life at The Crabs Claw Inn. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to share your time and love with family and friends and any donations in her honor can be made to the Providence House of Ocean County 88 Schoolhouse Road Suite #1, Whiting, NJ 08759.
